Q:  Do you have to know how to sing to be on the Gospel Choir?
A:  Yes.  However, there are many other areas in which you can serve and grow as a member of the BCGC family.  Just click here to see other ways you can join our ranks. We would love to have you!

Q:   How much does it cost to have the choir sing at my event?
A:  Fees for booking the Gospel Choir vary basis on the following factors: location, type of event and appearance requirements.  Our booking staff can give you specific details after receiving a brief description of your event and performance request.

Q:  How can I get the Benedict Gospel Choir to perform at my event?
A:  Just email your official letter of invitation to bookings@benedictgospel.com.

Q:  Do you know of any musicians who can play for my church?
A:   We would be happy to recommend any qualified available musicians to you if you will send the details of your request to info@benedictgospel.com.

Q:  Is the choir a part of the Fine Arts program at Benedict College?
A:  Yes, we are one of only a few schools who maintain the Gospel Choir as a unit of the Fine Arts Department.

Q: Can I sing on both the Gospel Choir and Concert Choir?
A:  Yes. However, it is important that you pay close attention to the attendance policies of both ensembles and notify your directors of any potential schedule conflicts in a timely manner.  We generally give special consideration to music majors that have required school performances throughout the year.

Q:  Is there a GPA requirement to be a member of the Gospel Choir?
A:  Yes. We encourage each of our members to maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.  However, only a 2.0 is required for membership.

Q:  How can I get a scholarship from the Gospel Choir and what is the amount?
A:   You must schedule a scholarship audition with the director. Scholarship award amounts vary based on audition score and financial need.
