BCGC Washington DC Trip
Notes for BCGC Members traveling to Washington, DC on Wednesday, September 15, 2010
We are excited about the first road-trip of the semester! Please be sure to read the information below and share it with the others that are traveling on Wednesday.
It is absolutely CRITICAL that you take care of your personal hygiene prior to boarding the bus Wednesday night. This means: take a shower and brush your teeth. We will travel for at least eight hours to Washington, have breakfast, a tour, lunch, and a sound check before you have the opportunity to shower again.
Please bring a carry-on bag that contains your toothbrush, toothpaste, a washcloth, lotion, and deodorant. When we stop for breakfast, you will need to freshen up.
Pack only what you need. The attire for the event is DRESSY black and white. Please remember that you will be singing in front of dignitaries from across this country (and we don’t know who else may be present). We want the first impression of the BCGC to be one that is professional. Please be sure that your attire is not too short, too tight, or too low-cut. If your attire falls into one of those categories, please see Mama T or Gia as soon as possible so that we can assist you.
Academically, please be sure that you know what your responsibilities are while being out of class. Although Mr. Izzard will provide an official roster of those traveling so that you can get class excuses, you are still responsible for ensuring that you do not get behind because you are absent.
Mama T can be reached at 803-603-6595 and Gia can be reached at 803-603-0101.
Looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday night!
